Description
Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections are widely utilized in histological research and diagnostic pathology for the visualization and study of various tissue components. Among these, the human airway and blood vessel tissues serve as invaluable positive control samples for the assessment of specific histological stains, including Periodic Acid-Schiff (PAS), collagen, and elastic fiber stains. These tissues are rich in components that are routinely analyzed in both clinical and research settings, making them ideal for validating staining protocols and ensuring the accuracy of results.
Slide Preparation
Human lung airway and blood vessel tissue was fixed in formalin immediately after excision and embedded in paraffin. The tissue sections were 5 μm in thickness and mounted each on positively charged glass slides.
