Description
The VitroSure™ Proteinase K Set for DNA/RNA Isolation is designed to enhance the efficiency of nucleic acid purification by enabling effective digestion of proteins and nucleases during sample preparation. Proteinase K is a broad-spectrum serine protease that breaks down proteins, including nucleases that may degrade DNA or RNA, thereby improving nucleic acid yield and purity. This set is optimized for convenient use with VitroSure™ nucleic acid isolation kits and helps ensure reliable performance for downstream applications such as PCR, qPCR, sequencing, and other molecular biology analyses.

Storage
Store the Proteinase K Powder at -20°C. After reconstitution of Proteinase K, aliquot and store the solution at -20°C.
Typical Procedures
- Reconstitute the Proteinase K by adding 260 µl of Proteinase K Buffer to 5 mg of Proteinase K powder. Mix gently until completely dissolved. After reconstitution, avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain enzyme stability.
- Please follow the corresponding protocol when using this set with VitroVivo Biotech kits VB-500, VB-5002, VB-5003, VB-5004, VB-5005, and VB-5006.
