Description
VitroView™ Anti-Fade Aqueous Mounting Medium with Coverslip Sealant Kit is specially formulated for mounting and preserving fluorescently labeled tissue sections and cell preparations. Its anti-fade formulation helps minimize photobleaching and preserve fluorescence intensity during microscopic imaging and long-term storage.
The mounting medium is also suitable for selected chromogenic and histochemical staining applications where specimens should be mounted without dehydration and clearing with organic solvents. It provides excellent optical clarity and helps maintain the integrity and appearance of stained specimens.
The kit includes VitroView™ Coverslip Sealant, a ready-to-use sealant specifically designed for use with aqueous mounting media. The sealant forms a protective barrier around the coverslip, helping to secure it in place while minimizing evaporation, leakage, and drying of the mounting medium.

- Compatible staining methods and reagents include: fluorescent dyes and fluorophores, phycobiliproteins, AEC, DAB, Fast Red, Oil Red O, BCIP/NBT, BCIP/INT.
- The product is particularly recommended for applications in which preservation of fluorescence intensity and specimen morphology is important.

Storage
Store Anti-Fade Aqueous Mounting Medium at 2-8ºC and Coverslip Sealant at room temperature
Usage Instructions
- Place slides flat on a paper towel on the countertop with the specimen facing up.
- Blot excess water from the slide without letting the tissue specimen dry prior to mounting.
- Apply 1–3 drops of Anti-Fade Aqueous Mounting Medium to form a thin layer that fully covers the specimen.
- Seal coverslip edges with coverslip sealant for long-term storage.

- Avoid exposure of kit components to moisture or light, as this may affect its performance.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals and biological specimens.
- Dispose of unused kit components according to local regulations and guidelines.
