Description
VitroView™ Anti-Fade Aqueous Mounting Medium with DAPI/Coverslip Sealant Kit is an advanced, ready-to-use mounting solution designed to preserve fluorescence signals and maintain specimen integrity during microscopic imaging. The kit combines an anti-fade aqueous mounting medium containing DAPI with a coverslip sealant, providing a convenient and efficient solution for mounting and sealing tissue sections and cell specimens.
The mounting medium helps minimize fluorescence fading during observation and imaging while providing excellent optical clarity. DAPI provides reliable nuclear counterstaining by binding to DNA and producing bright blue fluorescence, making it particularly suitable for immunofluorescence (IF), fluorescence microscopy, and other applications requiring nuclear visualization.
The mounting medium is also compatible with a broad range of chromogenic and fluorescent staining methods, including **AEC, DAB, Fast Red, Oil Red O, BCIP/NBT, BCIP/INT, fluorescent dyes, and phycobiliproteins.
The included coverslip sealant provides a durable seal around the coverslip, helping prevent drying and movement of the coverslip during microscopic examination and imaging.

Storage
Store Anti-Fade Aqueous Mounting Medium with DAPI at 2-8ºC and Coverslip Sealant at room temperature
Usage Instructions
- Place slides flat on a paper towel on a countertop with specimen facing up.
- Blot excess water from the slide without letting the tissue specimen dry prior to mounting.
- Apply 1-3 drops of Aqueous Mounting Medium with DAPI to completely cover the specimen with a thin layer.
- Seal coverslip edges with coverslip sealant for long-term storage.
Precautions
- Avoid exposure of kit components to moisture or light, as this may affect its performance.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals and biological specimens.
- Dispose of unused kit components according to local regulations and guidelines.
