Description
VitroView™ Aqueous Mounting Medium with Coverslip Sealant Kit is designed for the preservation and long-term storage of tissue sections and cell preparations stained with chromogens or fluorescent reagents that are not compatible with dehydration and clearing using organic solvents.
The kit combines a ready-to-use aqueous mounting medium with VitroView™ Coverslip Sealant, a specialized sealant formulated for securing microscope coverslips over aqueous mounting media. The sealant forms a protective barrier around the coverslip to help minimize evaporation, leakage, and drying of the mounting medium while keeping the coverslip securely in place.
This kit is particularly suitable for immunofluorescence (IF), fluorescence microscopy, Oil Red O staining, and other histological and cytological applications in which an aqueous mounting medium must remain beneath the coverslip.

Application
VitroView™ Aqueous Mounting Medium with Coverslip Sealant Kit is suitable for mounting specimens stained with: AEC, DAB, BCIP/NBT, BCIP/INT, Oil Red O, fluorescent dyes, Phycobiliproteins and other aqueous-compatible chromogenic and fluorescent staining methods.
The kit is recommended for immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), fluorescence microscopy, histochemistry, and cytology where an aqueous mounting medium is required.

Storage
Product is stable for about 12 months at room temperature.
Usage Instructions
- Place slides flat on a paper towel on a countertop with specimen facing up.
- Blot excess water from the slide without letting the tissue specimen dry prior to mounting.
- Cover the specimen with a thin layer of 1–3 drops of Aqueous Mounting Medium.
- Seal coverslip edges with coverslip sealant for long-term storage.
Precautions
- Avoid exposure of VitroView™ Aqueous Mounting Medium to moisture or light, as this may affect its performance.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals and biological specimens.
- Dispose of unused VitroView™ Aqueous Mounting Medium according to local regulations and guidelines.
