FFPE Tissue Blocks & Slides

Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue is widely used for the morphological and molecular characterization of tissues and cells, including the localization and detection of DNA, RNA, and proteins.

FFPE tissue preparation generally includes:

  • Tissue collection and excision
  • Formalin fixation
  • Paraffin processing and embedding
  • Microtome sectioning, typically 4–5 µm
  • Mounting on positively charged glass slides

OCT-embedded tissue can be sectioned using a cryostat and is suitable for applications such as:
