Description
Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) Positive Control FFPE (Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded) Slides are high-quality reference materials designed to support the validation and optimization of protocols for in situ detection of GFP expression in tissue sections. These slides are prepared from liver tissue of GFP transgenic mice engineered to express high levels of GFP, providing a strong and consistent signal suitable for use as a positive control.
Each slide contains formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded mouse liver tissue with robust GFP expression, making them ideal for applications such as immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence staining, or in situ hybridization (ISH) targeting GFP. These controls are crucial for verifying reagent performance, antibody specificity, probe sensitivity, and the overall reliability of the assay.
GFP Positive Control Slides are particularly valuable in research involving transgenic animal models, gene therapy studies, or viral vector expression analysis, where GFP serves as a reporter gene.
Slide Preparation
Liver tissue from GFP transgene mouse was fixed in formalin for 24 hours immediately after excision. The tissue was then processed, embedded in paraffin, and sectioned at a thickness of 5 μm. Each section was mounted on a positively charged glass slide.
Quality Control
At least one tissue slide from this FFPE block was subjected to GFP immunohistochemistry staining. GFP Positive cells are more than 30%.
Section/slide
1 section on each slide
Package Size
5 slides per package
Applications
Positive Control FFPE Slides for in situ GFP detection, such as GFP IHC/IF or GFP RNAscope ISH.
Storage
Store at 2-8ºC
