Human Lung Cancer FFPE Sections

Human lung cancer refers to cancer that originates in the lungs of humans. It is a type of malignant tumor that develops when normal cells in the lungs undergo genetic mutations, leading to uncontrolled growth and the formation of a mass or tumor. Lung cancer is a major cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. There are two main types of lung cancer: small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The distinction is based on the microscopic appearance of the cancer cells and their behavior. Both types can occur in humans. The human lung cancer FFPE sections are mounted on positively charged glass slides and sectioned at 5 µm thickness. VitroVivo provides FFPE sections/slides from different patients. These FFPE slides can be used to perform RNA scope in situ hybridization (ISH), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), Immunofluorescence(IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and next-generation sequencing (NGS), etc.
